hey everyone! new here, sorry if has been asked before or i'm in wrong spot.
have mac air os x 10.9.4 seems eating away @ (limited) internet data. have turned automated updates etc off. i'm wondering if there way (either on mac, or program can download) can monitor how internet each program/app on mac using. on iphone in settings, cellular - can see how data each app using, example lists app (facebook) has data usage (6.6gb). possible on mac? want able see how data example itunes using. or app store. or iphoto etc. can see using data , change settings accordingly? in advance
the built-in activity monitor keeps track of sent/received stats on per app basis under network tab. information reset after every restart, need write things down before restart.
istat pro keeps track of network stats, believe resets on restart since uses same source stats.
other that, don't know of else works better.
