PowerPC Still In Use

a friend @ american chemical society national meeting out @ denver, , texted me picture few minutes ago of meeting brochure.

powerlabs apparently makes data acquisition hardware scientific instruments(i hadn't heard of them before) apparently pretty proud of fact use powerpc processors.

per page

http://www.adinstruments.com/products/powerlab

seems higher end products use powerpc 405gpr, , lower end products use freescale dsp56858

not relevant, thought interesting.

attached files:

what these machines for? servers? data processing? controlling industrial/scientific mechanics? these used , machines use them?
