know if connect smart tv imac wirelessly

have load of movies on hard drive connected mac,

if can let me know

 

smart tv's aren't smart, in order wirelessly connect imac (assuming 2011 or newer model) tv need appletv ($69 new or $59 refurb) , turn on airplay. can turn on home sharing in itunes , assuming movies in itunes can stream movies tv via atv. time, have 700 movies stored on ehd connected imac, works perfectly!

setup allow view on imac on tv. not allow view originates on tv imac.
