it's time spring cleaning in regards photo library. longest timer did manually because never took particular liking specific photo program. think may need start working 1 or 2 apps exclusively in order speed things bit.
library 8gb in size, it's not out of control yet. it's being backed in time machine , crashplan. think biggest issue photo duplicates imported twice mistake.
have following applications @ disposal:
-- aperture (latest version before apple migrated photos)
-- iphoto (i installed latest mac os update , left iphoto)
-- photos
-- pixelmator
bothers me photo applications when saves photos in library file. rather import photos, make backup of originals on own, edit photos. when make edit, i'd save photo on instead of making multiple copies. otherwise i'm stuck photos in multiple places, or end having duplicates scattered across system. using photo applications wrong or norm lot of applications? i'm trying best consolidate, remove photos, , keep neat , tidy set in 1 place.
suggestions?
