iMac with hard drive vs Mac Mini i7 with SSD?

i have mac mini 2012 i7 16gb ram , 240gb ssd plus 1tb hard drive thunderbolt display desktop currently. works fine hot , have had dedicate fan in room cool down mini. doesn't thunderbolt screen has it's heat vent on left side right above place can put mini (the right side block usb ports on screen). the integrated hd4000 not great.

have been offered imac 27" late 2013 model reasonable price , consider replacing current setup that. it's i5 , gtx775 standard 1tb 7200rpm hd. question , worry feel decrease in perceived performance because of old traditional hard drive despite being more powerful in other areas.

ps. live can't 1 fusion drive or ssd refurbished or used , getting brand new 1 specs not within budget.

inputs , thoughts appreciated.

the mini ssd should feel faster. need mac constrained having hd4000?
