Leather Loop Band Sizing (Large or Medium)

to have tried on apple watch in store:

live several hours closest apple store , have yet visit try on apple watches , bands.

pondering ordering black leather loop band, , question is,: wrist size 180mm. size falls both medium , large size options according apple's website. i'm wondering if order medium there enough of loop hold watch in place vs ordering large band , having excess band.

it's not big deal , i'm thinking stick medium. but, considering ship times i'd ordered , reserve place online asap.

opted 42 mm ss black sports band. decided @ last minute on launch morning order malenese loop once started seeing ship times go crazy. i'm thinking better 1 lined or may august or september, lol.

anyway, if has thoughts or input appreciate it.
 

my wrist larger , large loop wrapped far around me. think should go medium.
