FaceTime echo? I can hear EVERYTHING I do. So annoying.

i facetime girlfriend lot , both use our macbooks. have retina mbp 15" , uses year old macbook air. when facetime can hear every single thing echo me. every word , light sounds roommate opening door or across apartment. it's extremely sensitive , extremely annoying.

else experience or have fix?? @ first thought volume happens when has on extremely low volume.
 

try using earpods on both sides (you , girlfriend).
