iPhone 4S to 6 Migration Tips

hi...i'm sure has been covered here don't see (would nice if mr had tab on website common upgrade practices).

i'm on windows xp itunes 11.x , upgrading iphone 4s 6 weekend. looking steps on how migrate contacts, email settings, pictures, apple id, , homescreen lock photo. i'm sure can download apps again. remove music don't have worry size (50gb) or time take up/restore it/migrate it. not ever want use fingerprint reader or passcode features.

don't use icloud...but have used backup feature on itunes few times recently.

iphone 4s on ios 6.x.

can either detail steps or point me thread/website shows how transfer on these few items (and else forgetting)? apple store said welcome bring phones in , it...but fear after driving 40 minutes apple a)they tell me forgot/need @ home first itunes sync or enabling feature itunes can or b)they terrible job or take 3 hours (as did years ago when replaced iphone 4s new iphone 4s). if apple store fears unfounded, go there.

personally sync icloud , set 6 new phone. carrying backup on can carry on whole world of bugs
