Concerned about USB-C

i've grown quite fond of magnetic charger plug on years. not sure how long usb-c last, , how annoying use it. need plug in multiple devices, have offer sort of port/splitter allows connect usb devices, monitor, , magsafe @ once. excited new macbook's , they're wanted, single port has me concerned.
 

magsafe 1 of best features of macbooks, ever. sad lose it, hope don't see usb-c without magnetic latch in next few iterations of other macbooks. although highly appreciate technology went new macbook , it's more impressive, sheer fact magsafe has saved life of 5 year old macbook pro numerous times makes more important else.
