Geotagging with 5d Mark iii?

i see canon sells gp-e2 geotagging, read produces file in nmea format , not gpx...i use aperture (at least until see photos , decide if lr6 me) , requires gpx...

there mac utilities convert nmea gpx mac os x? how work? hard data gp-e2 mac? (figured usb cable, saw being more complicated plugging in)

anyway - looking experience this...i having ability automatically geotag , not have carry garmin around neck
 

canon makes gps accessory plugs hotshoe on 5diii. had 1 , worked fine.
