iMessage bug: Not seeing notifications for the first message in a series of messages

hi, i'm seeing weird message if sends me imessage this:

- hey
- what's up

see "what's up" in notifications, though when open messages shows both of them.

in prep apple watch, don't want these notifications screwed up. else seeing this? how fix it? thanks!
 

probably delay in using multiple imessage devices, if use on one, others don't message few moments, if person sends enough, "other" devices notification second one, not first. see lot moving between iphone, ipad , mac... can frustrating nothing can done far know...
