New iPod in 2015 - Now or never?

i know there's lots of apple fans (including me) patiently waiting new ipod released @ time. apple seems working on revamped music service right now, including streaming service, newly designed music app ios , new version of itunes mac , pc, think perfect time them release new device accompany service. here's why think so:

1) if want promote revamped music range make sense offer device integrated new offerings.

2) ipod touch last ipod support current ios version. if decide drop support a5 devices year, current ipod touch not eligible update ios 9 include further changes music app. if case, have not single music player support music service anymore. it's unlikely other ipods such current ipod shuffle or ipod nano able work streaming service.

in opinion, leaves few options apple:

1) offer new device. name "ipod" (just did new 12" macbook) , replace complete current ipod lineup. maybe thin , light device classic clickwheel, wifi, fast flash memory , new os (probably special version of ios) including possibility use new streaming service , store songs offline playback. people still seem love classic ipod sillhouette , concept (hence high prices ipod classic since discontinued) , apple said discontinued because components weren't available anymore. of course 1 possibility new device, new iteration of ipod touch.

2) update current ipod lineup somehow work new service.

3) drop complete ipod lineup either or let die.


know speculative don't know sure right now. thinking kind of 'now or never' moment new music service coming pretty soon. if don't update ipod lineup (or introduce new ipod) it's pretty discontinued sooner or later. guys think? new ipod or @ least updated lineup possible @ all? kind of device apple want offer?
 

as pains me ipod classic dead. if re-released last of line 160gb model is, buy 1 without hesitation. it's great device job designed perfection. unfortunately, apple thinks knows how enjoy music better , wants force onto it's streaming service can keep it's hands in pocket.
