How do I stop my iPad Air auto joining a local insecure network

hi,

brand new forum. have serious problem whereby local (tp-link) public insecure network ipad log onto automatically, when using ipad in house sitting next router! way can tell has happened slows down.

have tried 'forget network' nothing @ happens, still there , ipad merely logs on it.

don't understand how can happen, assume have wrong in setup cannot find seems out of order.

can help, please.
 

did try reset network settings , forget it? try that.... don't what's happening either. once forget it shouldn't reconnect.
