Does 3G on burn battery even when WiFi activated?

hi,

wondered, iphone 6 or iphone in fact, run down in battery when 3g cellular data turned on wifi , result wifi being used? same energy used if wifi turned off , phone using 3g?

 

the 3g/cellular radio isn't used when wifi on data. has remain on accept calls.
