Migrating using one monitor

i want migrate settings , data old mac mini new mac mini using migration assistant in old mac mini. monitor has 1 hdmi port. both mac mini equipped hdmi cables connecting monitor. kindly let me know setup should use migrate data old computer new computer.
 

do have external disk around? use time machine backup old machine external disk use source migration assistant.
