iMovie glitch!

hello. have imovie 8.0.6 macosx 10.9.5. have put bunch of video clips music, , have muted of clips. when preview movie in full screen, imovie randomly play of soundtracks clips music! if go little , play again, same clips not have sound, others will, proving random , seems glitch. when exported movie hd movie, same things occurred--some of clips had background sound playing loudly!
have double checked every clip muted. don't know do.
