Microsoft Launches Standalone 'Office Lens' Scanning App for iPhone

microsoft today announced launch of office lens app iphone, following debut on windows phone last year. office lens turns iphone portable scanner, popular scanning app scanner pro, has ability upload scanned documents both onenote , onedrive, making them accessible on devices.

office lens' scanning capabilities built microsoft's onenote app ios, today's office lens release standalone app. it's able scan things business cards, notes, restaurant menus, whiteboards, receipts, , more.

office lens able detect corners of document that's being photographed, allows automatically crop image right size. cleans images , enhances them better readability, , can straighten images taken @ angle.

app includes optical character recognition (ocr) make receipts , scanned documents searchable via key word in onenote or onedrive, , it's able convert images of paper documents , whiteboard notes word documents, powerpoint presentations, , pdf files.

there's option automatically generate contacts when business cards photographed, , images scanned can inserted onenote or onedrive in different formats, including docx, pptx, jpg, , pdf. images can saved, exported, , shared.

Battery Cycles

okay, know how battery cycles , work. want know is: how many cycles battery has how old battery is how many mah macbook shipped with how many mah have now reading thread on different site macbook batteries , commenting battery info. of them commenting saying reached 120 cycles per year. 1 guy said mac 3 years old on 250 cycles (avg. 83 year). think person had 400 after 2 years. in 'system information' says age of macbook 3 months old (when arrived said 1 months old, i've had 2 months) , have 98 cycles, using many cycles? i'm asking because realised apple batteries more or less useless @ holding charge after 1000 cycles , if i'm averaging 100 every 2 months gives me 1.7 years until macbook more or less desktop... to me seems poor previous windows laptops owned lasted long , expect lot more machine on £1k. (i have been told batteries in newer macbooks glued in place , replacing battery hard job , cost lots of money, mistake...

SSD Performing Poorly
