Photos, LR Performance, vs the New Photos and Old Aperture

i never ecstatic aperture's performance, after trying photos i've come appreciate it. (cpu usage routinely on 200% on latest 15" rmbp, _very_ high energy usage).

because photos doesn't seem able batch-edit/batch-paste adjustments, , can't view world map locations of _all_ of photos (like old "places" feature), , because there no list view allows sorting various image properties, feel forced find alternative.

(though, if these features somehow hidden in photos, please let me know!)

how lr compare in terms of performance , cpu/energy usage when managing large-ish library? (~77gb, 17000 photos)

there other alternatives? (i'm in education pricing a...feature considered...) in terms of "pure" photography, i'm not big editor , want organize large library, chunk of consists of raws. "edits", of time, happen through real change of aperture or shutter speed, framing, etc. aperture's filing/organizing system, , places map , faces fun features me since map out travels , locate photos of individuals without having manually tag them. do, however, lot of batch editing digitize books academic purposes photographs take of them (i batch adjust them plain photos of pages black text on white background fiddling white balance/color monochrome, brightness/exposure, , contrast, etc.)

i'd appreciate feels (and is) "robust" , can efficiently work with/handle large , growing library without unnecessarily straining computing resources (battery/cpu). if, beyond being robust, didn't feel windows-choppy in terms of ui. lr6 expected meet these criteria?

feel should make petition apple bring aperture...

i played apple's new offering yesterday couple of hours. opinion, great iphones , ipads storing images no near same league aperture or lightroom.

me, put iphone "snapshots" in , old jpegs , use capture 1 pro important files. (if had make generic suggestion people, chagrin, point them @ lightroom.)
