Can apps disappear from your purchases list even though you haven't requested a refun

i tried download 2do on ipad, wasn't showing on purchases tab, , instead, have buy again. don't have itunes receipt anymore unfortunately, , never asked refund - evidence, if will, have used have app video recorded of in action late last year.

recourse have in getting app again, short of buying again? i've sent email itunes store support, hear other people's opinions while wait reply.
 

apps can removed store , purchase history. manually backing resolves issue it's same music , movies.
