Not sure which one...

at moment stay-at-home-mom. use pc right finances, pictures, recipes, research, basic excel & word functions. accountant , don't anticipate using mac work (when go work).

first macbook caught eye macbook air. size attractive me. lightweight , toting around 3 kids makes simpler travel when need travel kids. however, husband saying 13.3" macbook pro better buy.

know newest models, air, not have cd/dvd drives. doesn't bother me much, don't use 1 on pc. want sd card slot why want 13" screen.

have been considering refurbished. these refurbished macbook pro & macbook air have been considering:

refurbished 13.3-inch macbook pro 2.5ghz dual-core intel i5. $829.00

released june 2012
13.3-inch (diagonal) led-backlit glossy widescreen display, 1280-by-800 resolution
4gb (2 x 2gb) of 1600mhz ddr3 sdram
500gb serial ata @ 5400 rpm1
8x double-layer superdrive (dvd±r dl/dvd±rw/cd-rw)
intel hd graphics 4000

or

refurbished 13.3-inch macbook air 1.3ghz dual-core intel core i5. $889.00

released june 2013
13.3-inch (diagonal) led-backlit glossy widescreen display, 1440-by-900 resolution
4gb memory
256gb flash storage
720p facetime hd camera
intel hd graphics 5000

overall (new or refurbished) i'm torn between better buy: macbook air or macbook pro?

also, buying refurbished route go?

i recommend macbook air. faster due having 256gb ssd on mbp 500gb hdd listed uses, lighter, longer battery life, better screen resolution, , graphics card. downside air ram not user replaceable (the mbp easy upgrade ram, , hdd ssd), still feel mba plenty fast enough.

hope helps! luck!
