i bought external ssd (imac internal hdd dog slow) , moved files carbon copy cloner, except photo's, video's , downloads folders every user, because big fit on ssd. reason unknown me, copy of os x on external ssd knows above mentioned folders reside on internal hdd, instead of on external ssd. in every user account folders link correctly internal hdd. time-capsule correctly backups everything.

idea how work without settings or have modified? 'just' works, , eager know how or why.
