GTX Titan 6GB superclocked on Mac Pro - Help

hi,
purchased gtx titan 6gb signature superclocked. know macvidcards says recommend use additional power supply. however, have heard people have been using without. true?

if need use additional power supply, easiest way this? found nothing concrete on should buy.

ps: running 4.1 mac pro 6 core 3.33 , 48gb of ram.
