Question for Harman Kardon Soundstick owners

i got great sounding harman kardon soundsticks.
have question people own these well:

when turn speakers on (and no audio playing) notice faint crackling/static?

knowing helpful me determine if normal or if should replacement.

in advance!
 

i've replied in other thread on same subject mine not make noise whatsoever. either have problem in speakers or mac you're connecting them to.

in troubleshooting issue start obvious , make sure plug firmly , inserted headphone jack. static occur when speakers turned on , not connected mac? try connecting them sound source , see if noise persists.
