Late 2013 rMBP will often shut off when I close the lid

so @ night i'll close lid on rmbp.

when open in morning computer has turned off @ point overnight. have hit power button , comes on. after log in, error box saying along lines "an error occurred , computer shut down unexpectedly... want open windows had open...,etc"

tried apple diagnostics test hold down "d" during boot , not find errors.

thoughts on issue be?

worth wipe hd , reinstall yosemite?

never had apple care , late 2013 model outside of "take apple" window.

in beta yosemite program. worried in past still getting beta updates did not want anymore. @ 1 point in system preferences check box did not want beta updates option seems gone me now.
