rMB Boot Camp Partition Allocation

i ordered new rmb 1.3ghz/512gb model on opening night. machine won't here few weeks planning out software setup. new macbook not serve “home base.” have macbook pro keep itunes, iphoto/photos, movies, etc. bought new macbook grad school , traveling.

need run windows school. have used parallels in past decided want use boot camp on new rmb. question how of 512gb should allocate windows , how os x? have 1tb dropbox account keep of important files including school related. don’t run “intense” applications photoshop, logic, etc. @ point. want both partitions run smoothly possible. should allocate 50%/50% each?

here’s tentative breakdown of each partition like:

mac partition:
os x 10.10.3 (i upgrade latest , greatest couple weeks after launches)
1password
dropbox
istat
bartender (maybe)
vlc
chrome

windows partition:
windows 8.1 pro (the discounted student version direct ms)
ms office (i using office 365 right planning full install on partition convenience)
1password
dropbox
chrome
when school starts, have other school-related software on here, don’t know @ point.

did need buy 1.3ghz/512gb model? not , that’s not question asking here. if have other suggestions, please share. thanks.
 

128gb going pretty tight. if installing on external device option, install windows on external usb ssd. that's do.

okay, know how battery cycles , work. want know is: how many cycles battery has how old battery is how many mah macbook shipped with how many mah have now reading thread on different site macbook batteries , commenting battery info. of them commenting saying reached 120 cycles per year. 1 guy said mac 3 years old on 250 cycles (avg. 83 year). think person had 400 after 2 years. in 'system information' says age of macbook 3 months old (when arrived said 1 months old, i've had 2 months) , have 98 cycles, using many cycles? i'm asking because realised apple batteries more or less useless @ holding charge after 1000 cycles , if i'm averaging 100 every 2 months gives me 1.7 years until macbook more or less desktop... to me seems poor previous windows laptops owned lasted long , expect lot more machine on £1k. Weird behavior on external monitor
