Macbook Pro Running Slow

hey everyone, need advice. macbook has been running terribly slow, 1 program running. example using safari nothing else running still rainbow pinwheel , slow, starting program, running closing it.

told apple cable logic board bad, fixed that. shortly after told me hard drive bad, replaced well. still continued have these problems. can't run more 1 program @ once without crashing. apple told me battery bad , need replaced, i'm guessing if replace battery , upgrade ram lot of these problems should iron out. in research found having bad battery can slow down macbook.

anyways need 1) problem be. 2)what battery get. 3)best type of ram get.
 

you can start being specific mbp model , configuration have. year, display size, processor, ram installed, etc.
