Samsung U28D590D + mid 2014 15" rMBP

okay, i've got monitor @ home, , can not work mid 2014 15-inch rmbp dual graphics. have tried connected both owc thunderbolt 2 station, , caldigit thunderbolt 2 station , same result - black screen on both laptop , samsung, , have hard shut down machine. way able samsung recognized connecting directly hdmi port on mac, , using gfxcardstatus set dedicated graphics only.

funny thing is, monitor works absolutely fine 13" rmbp, both thunderbolt 2 docks.

thoughts on next step can take troubleshoot?
 

have tried direct mini-displayport dp 2014 macbook monitor? should surely work. eliminate issues tb hubs.
