Should I buy Fantastical 2 in Mac App store/website?

advantages/disadvantages of buying app mas or company's website? faq states discounts , mas doesn't allow that. might buy site. advantages/disadvantages? thanks.
 

buying outside mas gives following advantages imo.
discounts mention, free upgrades or @ least discounted upgrades. mas gives full versions.

mas has advantages consumer , developer not end , software procurement. if can pay less getting directly developer's site go it.
