first time owner of ipad here - ipad mini 3. longtime user of mac computers.
bought ipad exclusively reading/highlighting. have several epub files on rmbp (yosemite os x 10.10.2). how can sync these epub files ipad using icloud? these ebooks not purchased through ibooks. not want plug-in usb cable every time want highlighting marks synced between 2 devices. possible? in advance.
i use dropbox , works treat me. copy file(s) dropbox folder (on rmbp), open on ipad (after dropbox syncs file(s) cloud). dropbox won't recognise file type, click on "open in..." (via box arrow icon @ top of dropbox window) , it'll list ibooks app can try opening on ipad, click on that, , it'll copy ibooks , open there without having sync via itunes.
if don't have dropbox, it's great app/service, here's way 6gb free storage (without having spam family/friends, can more free storage): click here.
hope helps.
