can me setting does? has done track exactly? stereo track? still surround sound track? don't know.

when first started collection, must admit, never wanted deep "perfect settings" thing. wanted going , priority picture quality.

since have kind of regretted neglect audio part.. , set hd 5.1 sources dolby pro logic ii "core audio aac" setting.

regretfully did sd audio in "5.1" mix down ac3.

have no idea these differences though, i'd 1 bit of guru in area me understand settings ideal films.

both codec , mix down?

understand passthru keeps original track recommended settings surround sound hd sources?

aac vs ac3? coreaudio vs ffmpeg?

, again, have normal 2.0 tv set up, i'm first 5.1 surround sound set.. 5.1 speakers of pro logic ii hd conversions? going stereo played through 5 speakers?

have ruined surround sound affect of 5.1?

check definition of dolby prologic. matrix-encoded 4-channel surround sound encoded 2 stereo channels.
without special dpl decoder hear stereo soundstage, dpl decoder hear 4-channel surround (l, r, c , rear). in essence, similar sq quadraphonic encoding.
needs 2 physical channels carry data of 4 channels. hear 4, need dpl decoder, home cinema receiver produced within last 25 years.
