Contacts not syncing with iPhone

only of contacts mac on phone. notes not on phone.

when go system preferences icloud, see account (howardbrazee@icloud.com) has checked. when click on manage family, see wife, itunes account, , icloud account.

when @ contacts preference, see both wife's , icloud account enabled, mine primary, , checked except mail.

when click on iphone within itunes, , @ "info", says contacts , calendars being synced iphone on air icloud".

when @ icloud in finder, don't see files - used use wife's icloud (so update contacts her), don't see files has there - though shared folders computer me.

when @ settings on phone, see icloud setting icloud account, turned on - except "keychain" "pending". "notes" turned on, empty, while "notes" on mac populated same notes on wife's computer.

both phone , mac have same messages using icloud account.

have rebooted mac , iphone several times.

ipad still connected wife's icloud , sees notes , full contacts file. itunes shows synchronizing "all contacts" , "all calendars" , there *lots* of greyed out selected calendars.

don't know how rest of contacts mac iphone. don't know how notes mac iphone. , don't know how access files on wife's icloud drive.
