Old version of filemaker on dead OS, what to replace it with?

i have older version of filemaker pro v6 not run on latest macos. program amazingly made in 2002 , has served valiantly , error free throughout run @ track.

alas have upgraded yosemite , need replacement trusty database program.


best program replace with? there version of filemaker available mac app import old filemaker file format?

if there better app small , work , can read older filemaker formats? use keep record of client information, simple database. use excel database search , display features.

there new version of filemaker pro 13 released little on year ago. there isn't comes close filemaker pro @ moment sme or soho use.

still running fmp11 works on powerpc (leopard) but, run on yosemite (with few minor bugs in editing interface).

recommend consider latest version of filemaker pro 13 (advanced) there has been massive improvements since. believe should able read older .fmp5 files fine but, need upgrade them .fmp12 (won't able edit later on in older version).
