4k@60Hz

probably subject beaten death but:

ars technica has reviewed machine , using third-party dongle managed new macbook drive 4k display @ 30hz through mst mode.

apple's own support page states can 4k @30hz through hdmi using own usb-c digital av adapter, can 60hz via sst.

can machine do? i'm fine 1 port , lower performance hook 4k display when i'm @ home can use desktop. information? available info out there seems inconsistent , it'd great real world confirmation.

if specs given right, picture pretty clear-cut.

rmb supports usb 3.1 gen 1 @ 5gbit/s in hardware, slow uhd@60hz. no matter actual protocol run on, there's not enough bandwidth in hardware push amount of pixels required that.
