Base model or upgraded 5k imac for print?

i graphics professional , average photoshop file size 500mb @ 400dpi. layers can go 5 20.

have decided on 5k because of screen, have no idea if base model or upgrade necessary.

know sure don't want 1tb hdd storage. i'm going 256gb ssd drive because of massive speed increases. component have intuitive sense for.

cpu , gpu, however, have no idea considered overkill.

made analogy there's no point buying 200 mph super car if need 1 go 50 mph. but, can't gauge how many miles hour travelling photoshop usage compared maxed out 5k.

i'm in print manage fine 2011 27" imac dealing huge (1gb+) psd's or should psb's , complex ai files.

love 5k don't have need past current setup.

either of current 27" imacs proud. if fancy resolution of 5k go :)
