Using USB-C charger for non-MB use?

anyone try using 29w usb-c brick charging ipad?

markings says brick supports 5v 2.4a charging makes same 12w ipad charger. know need adapter make work, has given shot?

took wrong charger on trip. i'll try later, hope don't fry ipad...

you can't "fry" ipad using wrong charger. can "fry" charger if attempt pull more current it's rated for. ipad pull current needs, 2.4a charger should fine this. don't know whether usb-c usb-a converter pass charge on. probably...
