Downloading issue on Documents by Readdle caused by RAM?

whenever i'm downloading large files (such videos) on documents readdle, need keep screen on whilst running app, otherwise download stall , fail.

usually, i'm waiting download finish opening other apps kill time. if i'm on apps several minutes, download stop. that's why need switch app documents every 1 minute or ensure download won't stall. because of 1gb ram of iphone 5?

happen in 2gb ipad air 2?

now, workaround keep screen on, turning auto lock off, app still opens. that, if don't want on iphone. if decide play phone whilst waiting, need switch apps documents every minute or make sure download still going.

have issue? it's annoying have keep eye on phone when downloading files. wish leave on background without affecting download progress. , no, documents readdle doesn't have background app refresh option on settings.
