Home network question.

hello all.

have airport extreme on middle floor of home. used wireless provider , time machine. aware can extend wireless network adding airport express. wireless signal throughout home speed drops downstairs. if extend setup airport express (wirelessly) not boost signal/speed ( if understand correctly). able hardware airport extreme ethernet plug adaptor , down stairs take ethernet cable plug adaptor , plug in airport express? give me same speed see on middle floor? if it's possible, run off same wireless network ( or end 2 wireless systems in house)? hope makes sense. sort of in head.

you need 2 devices linked ethernet , second device needs in bridge mode.
