i have 2012 mac mini quad i7 2.3ghz 1tb fusion drive , 16gb of ram set wife's computer. under osx yosemite, performs well. problem wife hasn't gotten used using osx , wants go windows environment. i'm contemplating installing windows 8.1 under bootcamp. however, want check, windows running under bootcamp suffer performance hit, compared pc has equivalent hardware (quad i7 2.3, ssd, 16gb ram)? if suffer performance hit, might not , instead build pc , i'll take mac mini , use osx myself. also, bought apple trackpad use mac mini. work under bootcamp windows? , scrolling/gestures still buttery-smooth under windows? oh , 1 more question... mac mini has 1tb fusion drive (1tb hdd plus 120gb ssd) set up. still work in windows under bootcamp? i'm bootcamp newbie haven't looked how set up, read far, may need repartition hdd. if have fusion drive, cause problem if try install bootcamp? thanks!

hey folks, bought macbook pro (13 inch, late 2014) last november , i'm loving far. it's first osx device , getting used easier have tought got problem. far, never took closer on battery performance because didn't feel need to. got feeling, battery health isn't quite should since need plug in after 2-3 hours after minor use. when try measure battery time, experiencing things bother me. first of all, after few hours of battery use, counter in energy tab of activity monitor starts showing weird numbers, 11,000 hours , more (see pic below), makes impossible me find out how long battery used. next thing: if bug wouldn't occur, extremely inconvenient find out pure using time (i'm talking "screen on time" in android devices), because "in use" counter adds standby time. checked out of battery stat tools find, of them pretty show values osx shows already. no detailed graphs (for more 12 hours..), no values how im

hello, new forum , kind of new apple. i'm looking buying new imac since windows pc have on way out. use imac @ work , fell in love them (and i've been iphone user few years now), that's want next home computer be. want 21.5" imac 2.9ghz quad-core intel core i5 8gb (two 4gb) memory 1tb hard drive nvidia geforce gt 750m 1gb video memory don't know technical side of computers. i've done little bit of research , decided upgrade ram 16gb, along upgrading 1tb fusion drive. question basically, should spend $200 , upgrade i7 instead of i5 too, or save $200 else? i'll using general use, photoshop (just photo editing) , gaming, , want last long time. gaming i'm worried about, want able play games without issues. difference noticeable? research i've been leaning towards saving $200 figured i'd make thread here advice first. decision stopping me buying it, once make mind on i'll ready.
