i have several pictures have incorrect dates when taken; because of them taken years ago in late 90s , have gone through many pcs , transfers have incorrect dates on them edited correct dates meta data on iphoto , saved them, when imported new photos app lists them in incorrect dates. example. picture have listed being taken in 2000 when took in 2014; camera time wrong. corrected in iphoto , imported photos , it's wrong. changed photos , moved it; noticing doesn't fix problem because if delete picture import again goes placing in 2000. have correct pictures export them? in windows edit data @ bottom of file in picture viewer , save it. if export , use feature shows modified , created date today; if use info tab in photos shows correct date taken; way date taken meta data in photos app , not finder? thanks!   Forums Macs

i've got late 2011 mbp. had osx lion on , upgraded via mac app store mountain lion, mavericks , yosemite , when released each year. i'm aware windows, slows down on time , it's practice format windows based systems , reinstall o/s ever year or if possible. makes quite difference in terms of performance. macs benefit improved performance after format/reinstall? mac doesn't run too slow - i'd it's bit sluggish after first booting might because has 4gb ram. remember when first got in 2011 fast , programs opened immediately. since i've had mac hasn't had software installed - programs numbers, pages , 1 or 2 others. else stock installed. i've got 6gb iphoto database pretty slow open.   short answer - no. it's placebo. if want increase performance on yosemite, install ssd. makes huge difference.

hi, went update sat nav (tom-tom) stupidly works flash installed. went straight adobe website , got flash , installed it. had download app tomtom. finishing update , whilst browsing itunes library , listening song stopped playing , screen went black , got kernel panic message , imac restarted itself, booted did same thing. log referenced "cpu caller 6" first time , "cpu caller 0" second. i've since uninstalled flash using adobes uninstaller , tom-tom apps using app cleaner , system seems running fine audio has popped couple of times , process "warmd" using 15% of cpu few seconds. sound malware or similar? there way check? or yosemite? help!!!!   as update computer has been running fine since. have ideas if sort of malware?   Forums Macs

my last mbp 17" bought in 2008 (the 1 using typing this). freelancing , needed mbp video editing , else. got mbp o tuesday , got gig saturday audio engineer small band in birthday party. installed logic pro x, connected audio interface had in drawer 4 years (m-audio 6 audio channels) usb 2. went party , recorded 6 audio channels no problem. mbp has 1tb flash drive, 16gb ram , 2gb video card yosemite. , today did final mix on 20 songs , sent client, $600. , brought mbp , audio interface. impress on how reliable computer is. hope last 8 more years. still have 12" powerbook working fine 2004.   congrats, enjoy new machine! think config last quite while.   Forums Macs Notebooks MacBook Pro iPhone Mac
