hey all! i'm in bad spot.* yesterday going through files on 6tb western digital book hard drive connected old imac running snow leopard. had been playing many different movie files camera in quick time player categorize them during couple of days , had been fine. of sudden quick time froze , wouldn't answer had force quit , tried again, same thing happened , finder , froze , had force shut off computer holding down power button. same thing happened after restarted computer. after each time have force off computer wd hard drive still has light on , keep sounding it's working hard , have pull power plug make stop.* started again try copy files drive freeze osx again. connected old macbook pro , same thing happened tried connect usb instead of fire wire , seemed act normal. replaced firewire , tested , seemed work fine on both computers. assumed firewire cable causing problems. since bit shaken started backups of hard drive , copied folder
