hi guys, had couple of problems imac lately: flash (firefox) seems crash several times hour after trying view non-specific youtube videos. browser (firefox) has crashed number of times, although that's less common compared crash rate of flash. lesser extent, other programs have crashed (e.g audirvana), including 2 random kernel panic's since i've bought computer. i'm suspecting ram stick defective, they're not apple's original memory sticks. guys know how can test ram sticks find out one's faulty? i've read mac's having built-in ram test, unfortunately, haven't been able start it. i've been recommended use program . since first mac, i'm extremely paranoid viruses/malwares. safe, , work on yosemite (the link's 2011)?   the latest version of memtest 4.23 , can via http://www.memtestosx.org/ .  

hello, afternoon keys v, f, r, 4, ], , return key on macbook air (mid 2012, 1.8 ghz intel core i5 processor) stopped working properly. when pressed, these keys produce nothing , @ other times produce group of seemingly random letters. pressing v key multiple times minimizes window working in. pressing return key deletes text have written. in addition, character g spontaneously produced when trying type without touching g key. problem appeared have begun randomly. used computer in morning no problems. when used computer again in afternoon, keys no longer worked do. nothing abnormal happened between 2 times. verified , repaired disk , permissions using disk utility after noticed problem. nothing changed after repair , restart. updated operating system newest update in app store , restarted, nothing changed. else can try solve problem, other sending macbook air out repair?

hello! migrated aperture library (unified iphoto-aperture, still, created aperture) photos in yosemite 10.10.3 (120gb 17000 pics give or take). part being incredibly slow , laggish, having problem: half of pictures don't have thumbnail, see greyish square instead of picture, in years , collection view (see attachment screenshot). if open picture can see (after little while), thumbnail not there. after open picture, thumbnail appears , remains there, never appears. tried leave photos library open (in case built thumbnails in background-- corroborated inordinate cpu usage of photos app when open) after while (even hour) crashes. has got clue what's happening? there way rebuild thumbnails in photos there in iphoto or aperture? considering ditching app , stay iphoto+aperture until nuked computer... hello everyone, first of reason i'm posting here none of fixes windows post helped. use mac pro, late 2013 6 core, 16 gb. problem started after windows partition got wrecked. use adobe package work exclusively on os x partition. however, use windows 8.1 in free time playing games. since not care windows let them rot until refused boot completely. happened was, got blue screen , when windows started option "repair computer" made mistake shutting mp down power button. after mp refused boot in both windows , os x. left me 1 choice restating pram. after booted os x, on boot realised boot sluggish. wiped out whole disk , restored tm. point normal os x wise. next step reinstall windows 8.1, in every try gave me error 0x0000005 @ 0% of installation. , happened every time no matter did. tried version of windows gave me error saying me not gpd partition format. after fixed error disc utility, same error came (0x0000005) @ 0% of in

for past week or so, every time restart rmbp, desktop background resets default yosemite picture and, more annoyingly, logged out of of websites logged into. stay logged several different forums, facebook, flickr , couple other sites - active in yosemite in tabs. previously, when restarted rmbp, automatically logged sites. however, changed on last couple of weeks (can't when started happening). i've been running developer version of yosemite 10.10.3, , last updated on 04/02. installed release version on 04/08. behavior may have started either of updates, or have been different. else experiencing issue? there setting somewhere missed cause this? i've been through safari preference screens , don't see obvious.   anybody? anybody? bueller?   Forums Macs

right i'm living off 6 year old windows computer. runs okay i'm looking replace apple something. purchased macbook thinking ticket i'm not sure! i'm stuck between should stick ipad or "need" mac. i'm coming opinions! have basic computing needs: web browsing, online shopping, casual games (think facebook-esque games can achieved through app store), banking/bill pay, youtube, movies, music (spotify/pandora). don't work on personal computers have separate work provided windows laptop work tasks. worth splurge on mac, , if model? not have budget. or better suited saving few bucks , doing on ipad possibly keyboard? idea of having ipad somewhere have doubts hence question. thoughts/opinions?   macbook air 11" in opinion. ipad work hate web browsing on tablets don't recommend if spend lot of time browsing web.

hello, have 15'' 2011 mbp. has had many graphics issues , extreme slowness since november, few months out of extended apple care. apple care extremely generous in covering $550 logic board replacement never had issues mbp in 3 years prior(never used apple care). local store replaced , after day, graphics card failed again! took , sent apple care's hq in texas , both logic board , ram replaced. got , runs slower ever , still has many graphics issues. unusable @ point. student on tight budget , hoping computer last me lot longer 3 years considering costs on $2000+. extremely frustrated @ point, having gone apple store on 10 times, , being behind on school assignments. want solved. i've read many 2011 mbp's have had failed graphics card apple has refused acknowledge this. there other reason having these issues? 1 tech told me may software.   starry said: ↑
