i've done homework on this, , found it's common problem, haven't found info on if it's recall. yesterday, noticed bright white spot has trail on left hand side of late-2013 retina macbook pro. after googling around, learned it's called mura. wasn't able find how apple handles situation, few people said able screen fixed (i don't know if had applecare or not) . though, later read these screen replacements typically have more problems screen mura. have uneven, patchy, yellow tint (or lucky , it's throughout still disgusting looking). don't want screen has more problems, don't want mura. guess, tl;dr - apple going give me resistance? it's known fact common problem, , sure didn't cause this. there on here has had experience before? if so, did apple do? considered recall? p/s: i've been in live chat support queue 40 minutes, , gotten nothing - not estimated wait time.

hi all been playing on os x 10.10 , server 4.0.3 - feel i'm missing here getting file sharing , icloud authentication working? or just... broken? on server i've added new user under system preferences > users , groups > + user > choose 'sharing only' , 'use icloud password' - via system preferences because in server app don't option use icloud password. suspicions of being 'broken' come from. when on client, go finder , server in sidebar, hit 'connect as' in top right, , try auth icloud account window 'shakes' when password wrong. if set account on server 'standard' account , instead of 'sharing only' still icloud password, works fine on client. don't want have add every 1 in company standard account, when file sharing.. so, long story short, 1 of hdd temp sensor connectors (there 2 sensors stuck 320gb hdd in mini) broke off system board. originally, putting in ssd , didn't realize connectors pulled , instead pulled 1 horizontally out , connector came out it. now, when power on, fan going @ fastest speed (with original hdd or ssd). i've tried 3 different fan control softwares (istat, macfancontrol , 1 other one) , none of them seem control fan speed. possible control, via software, fan speed on 2010 mac mini? otherwise, suppose need buy new system board? also, assuming normal, installing ssd cause fans run full speed or stick temp sensors on ssd , fans should ok? thanks.   smcfancontrol has command line options allow control fan speeds.   Forums Macs Desktops

hi macrumorians, happy part of apple gurus community! bought mbp in 2009, 13", intel core duo 2, 2.53ghz, 8g ram (added myself) running osx 10.6 snow leopard (i think). issue when playback audio through headphone jack software itunes, ableton live, vlc, etc sound sounds horrible: on compressed, super bassy, sounds it’s ‘playing double’ can sort of hear short delay adding up. bad. checked eqs, etc. same issue both software. didn’t used that. kind of appeared couple years ago. have played small gigs straight headphone jack , sounded fine. however, when play audio through headphone jack internet apps youtube, soundcloud, etc, sounds fine. tells should not hardware issue. produce loads of tracks on ableton live , playback through external soundcard, no issue there either. issue happens when playing audio through headphone jack software playback only. result never take mbp out can’t take audio quality headphones when working on tracks.
